Privacy policy

This site deals with unusually sensitive browsing data. We therefore collect as little as possible and name each processing operation individually.

1. Controller

LiveChat Media Ltd., 1 Example Street, Valletta VLT 1000, Malta. Email: contact@livechat.stream.

2. What we process

  • Server logs: shortened IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user agent. Purpose: operation and attack defence. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Deleted after 7 days.
  • Age confirmation: a flag in your browser’s local storage recording that you confirmed your age. It never reaches our servers. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR together with the applicable youth protection law.
  • Chat name: if you choose one on a profile page, it is stored in your browser only, so you do not have to retype it. It is never transmitted to us.
  • Verified age check (where the law requires one): the result of the check and its timestamp. Identity documents are processed by the verification provider and are not passed to us. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR.
  • Strictly necessary cookies: session identifier only. No consent required under Art. 5(3) ePrivacy Directive as transposed locally.

3. What we do not do

  • No advertising network receives a usage profile from us.
  • No third-party tracking pixels.
  • No account is required, so no email address is collected for browsing.

4. Third parties you reach through this site

Preview images are loaded directly from the platforms’ content networks, and starting a stream opens a connection from your browser to that platform. At that moment your IP address, device data and referrer reach the platform, and its own privacy policy applies. Playback never starts without a click, precisely so this is your decision.

5. Processors

Hosting, content delivery and, where required, age verification are carried out by service providers under Art. 28 GDPR contracts. The current list is available on request to contact@livechat.stream.

6. Your rights

  • Access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17).
  • Restriction (Art. 18), portability (Art. 20), objection (Art. 21).
  • Complaint to your competent supervisory authority.

Requests to contact@livechat.stream are answered within one month.
